ASE (Accredited System Engineer)

HP ASE Description:
The ASE (Accredited System Engineer) certification from HP certification is an advanced level certification. This certification was started in 2001, and was last updated in 2003.

A person with the ASE HP Certification (Accredited System Engineer) has the foundation information and advanced level understanding for ASE (Accredited System Engineer) certified professionals that can design, support and integrate platform, operating system, storage, network and option components to solve business needs. HP ASE Prerequisites:
You must have 6 to 12 months experience design, support and integrate platform, operating system, storage, network and option components to solve business needs. However, for the ASE certification you have to know all the basics of the certification. In addition, to do the ASE exams and you are recommended to do the HP Training course. HP ASE Exams:
You need to do the HP exam(s) required to earn ASE certification. Because there are different tracks in the certification, there can be different exams for the different tracks. For example:

The exam that is required is the ASE - HP OpenView Application Management - UNIX [2005] track is the HP HP0-345 HP OpenView Operations (OVO) II 8.x UNIX exam.

The exam that is required is the ASE - ProCurve Networking [2005] track is the HP HP0-790 HP ProCurve Routing Switch Essentials v5.21 exam.

The exam that is required is the ASE - HP StorageWorks Nearline Storage track is the HP HP0-771 Designing & Implementing HP Enterprise Backup Solutions exam.

The certification is now valid indefinitely.
